Breakthrough Listen and the SETI Institute have integrated agentic AI into extraterrestrial signal searches at the Allen Telescope Array in Northern California. Using NVIDIA's Holoscan platform, agents can steer antennas, calibrate instruments, correct data errors, and apply AI models through natural language prompts. The system processes 2.4 terabits per second on NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell GPUs, with inference running on-premises. NVIDIA says agents compress tasks that would take humans weeks into hours. The pipeline has achieved what the organizations describe as the first real-time AI detection of a pulsar in the Crab Nebula. The team is evaluating NVIDIA Nemotron for offline observatory deployments.
