Germany's federal government signed a Joint Declaration of Intent with NVIDIA at the Invest in Germany Summit on October 19, 2026, aiming to advance physical AI models and expand industrial AI adoption nationwide. Chancellor Friedrich Merz and NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang discussed applying AI to Germany's manufacturing and automotive strengths, including its Mittelstand small-business sector. NVIDIA announced planned investments in four German startups: Agile Robots, Avelios Medical, Mirelo and Reflex Aerospace, part of a broader nearly $10 billion European commitment the company has announced. Separately, Siemens said it is partnering with NVIDIA on autonomous factory AI, claiming virtual production tools reduce engineering effort by up to 85%, per Siemens.
