NVIDIA DSX Platform Targets Power Bottleneck Choking AI Infrastructure

NVIDIA and partners aim to unify grid, facility, and compute planning for AI factories.

NVIDIA's DSX AI Factory Platform is gaining enterprise adoption as power constraints intensify, with the company citing over $300 billion in backlogged equipment and more than 200 gigawatts waiting in U.S. interconnection queues. The platform integrates grid simulation, demand flexibility, and compute optimization across a single system. Partners including GE Vernova, Hitachi Energy, Schneider Electric, and Siemens Energy have announced DSX integrations or reference architectures. Phaidra says DSX integration delivered roughly 10% more compute within the same power envelope, while Emerald AI claims its grid-flexibility model could unlock up to 100 gigawatts of existing U.S. capacity. Both figures are vendor-attributed.
