AWS Launches AI Agent to Automate Cloud Architecture Reviews

AWS Well-Architected Agent enters public preview, delivering goal-aligned cloud optimization recommendations.

AWS announced the public preview of AWS Well-Architected Agent, an AI-powered service that analyzes infrastructure across 65-plus AWS services to generate prioritized recommendations covering cost, security, performance, and resilience. According to AWS, the agent correlates utilization metrics, resource configurations, and application topology against Well-Architected best practices without requiring manual audits. Recommendations include remediation packages with console walkthroughs, Infrastructure as Code updates for Terraform, CloudFormation, and CDK, and CLI commands. AWS notes that generative AI powers the recommendations and may contain errors, placing evaluation responsibility on customers. The preview is available in three U.S. regions and requires an AWS Support plan.
