Google has launched the Fairwind Program, a restricted initiative giving select government agencies, Google Cloud customers, and cybersecurity partners access to its Gemini 3.8 Flash Cyber model paired with the CodeMender harness. Google claims the combination can autonomously find, verify, and generate deployment-ready vulnerability patches in minutes rather than weeks, at lower cost than traditional frontier models.
Access is being staged for public-sector networks, critical infrastructure operators, and core technology platforms. Participating organizations must meet strict operational standards, including multi-factor authentication and limiting access to internal security teams. Google reports more than 650 partners enrolled globally. Standard Google Cloud customers can access CodeMender separately using publicly available Gemini models.
