NVIDIA announced at GTC Berlin that multiple European organizations are deploying its Earth-2 open AI weather and climate models. AXA is using FourCastNet 3 to model cyclone risk across more than 1,000 simulated seasons, according to NVIDIA. Vaisala Xweather is integrating StormScope with proprietary lightning data for government, energy and maritime customers. University of Manchester researchers adapted CorrDiff for U.K. air-quality modeling on DGX Spark systems. TotalEnergies is evaluating StormScope-based solar-radiation nowcasts at two photovoltaic sites. NVIDIA also introduced StormScope EU, a regional short-term forecasting model trained on European climate data using EUMETSAT satellite observations updated every 10 minutes.
