NVIDIA Vera CPU Targets Agentic AI Workloads With Performance and Efficiency Claims

NVIDIA positions Vera as a single CPU covering both agent speed and energy efficiency.

NVIDIA claims its Vera CPU outperforms both the fastest and most energy-efficient x86 processors in 100-megawatt data center comparisons, delivering 1.6x more agents per watt versus the fastest x86 and 2x faster agent speed versus the most efficient x86 option. Early partners reported notable gains: DeepInfra said Vera reached 2.2x the speed of the best x86 processor on agentic orchestration, and Daytona reported bringing 1,000 agent sandboxes online in 10.8 seconds versus 88.4 seconds on x86. Perplexity plans to deploy Vera in an upcoming production system. All performance figures are vendor-reported.
