AWS Launches CloudWatch Omni: AI-Powered Collaborative Observability Platform

Amazon CloudWatch Omni adds AI-driven investigation, team collaboration, and OpenTelemetry support.

AWS has launched Amazon CloudWatch Omni, an observability experience built on OpenTelemetry that AWS says organizes telemetry by application rather than infrastructure component. Teams access it via a dedicated URL with enterprise SSO through IAM Identity Center, with no AWS Console credentials required. According to AWS, existing CloudWatch logs, metrics, traces, and alarms appear in Omni without reconfiguration. An integrated Amazon DevOps Agent participates in investigation sessions, correlating signals and suggesting root-cause paths. AWS says dynamic views replace static dashboards, and service topology updates automatically when new services are deployed. CloudWatch Omni is now available to existing CloudWatch customers.
