Google has launched Playground, an experimental browser-based platform that allows users to create, share, and play custom games using text prompts, without coding experience. Users can adjust game physics, rules, characters, and environments through a conversational interface. Published games go through safety screening before appearing in the community gallery. The platform supports multiplayer gameplay and leaderboards in select genres. Access is tiered by Google AI subscription. A forthcoming Unity Spark integration, currently in closed beta testing, will add professional-grade 3D capabilities. Playground is available now in the US for users 18 and older at playground.google.
