AWS Shares Prime Day 2026 Infrastructure Scale Metrics

Amazon released cloud performance figures from the four-day Prime Day 2026 event.

AWS published infrastructure metrics from Prime Day 2026, which ran June 23-26, 2026. According to Amazon, AWS Graviton powered up to 49% of EC2 compute for Amazon.com during the event. DynamoDB processed over 59 trillion requests and peaked at 192 million requests per second. Lambda handled over 2.3 trillion invocations per day. Amazon GuardDuty monitored an average of 14.08 trillion log events per hour, a 59% increase from Prime Day 2025. AWS says it ran over 44,000 fault injection experiments, more than six times the 2025 count. CloudFront delivered over 2.1 trillion HTTP requests across the event period.
